Pt/NiO nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning followed by calcination. The crystal structure, morphology and electrical conductivity of the nanofibers were investigated by XRD, SEM, TEM and semiconductor analyzer. The results show that rough, continuous and uniform nanofibers are successfully fabricated with full removal of inner cores. Adding NiO to Pt nanofibers is beneficial for the sake of maintaining the continuous structure and avoids the bead formation. The prepared Pt/NiO nanofibers have a conductivity of 5.95x10(2) S/cm, strongly indicating Pt nanoparticles form continuous networks in the composite structure.
