This research points out to enhance piezoelectric beta-phase and dielectric constant of Poly(vinylidenefluoride-hexafluoropropylene) P(VDF-HFP)/Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles at various concentrations (0-20 wt %). The nanocomposite fibers were prepared by an electrospinning technique. It can enhance to transform nonpolar alpha-phase to electroactive beta-phase in pure P(VDF-HFP) polymer. The percentage beta-phase fraction in crystalline region of nanocomposite fibers increased with the amount of ZnO. This study demonstrates that the electrospinning process and adding the ZnO filler can induce not only high beta-phase orientation but also excellent in the ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties. These materials can be applied to energy scavenging, textile sensors and nanogenerators. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
