This paper reports half-pipe shaped palladium (Pd) rianotubes using nanofiber templates as hydrogen (H-2) sensor for the first time. Various methods to fabricate Pd nanostructure gas sensors were reported earlier, such as standard bottom-up method and lateral electrocleposition method. The realization of Pd nanostructure based on electrospun nanofibers offers a facile and cost effective way to fabricate high performance H-2 sensor. As a result, for 4nm thick half-pipe Pd nanotubes exhibited a high response (2.1%) to H-2 gas with 21s of response time (tau(0-80))
