We fabricated sheets consisting of aligned electrospun polymer nanofibers embedded with semiconductor nanorods (NRs) and confirmed the production of polarized fluorescence emission. Electrospun nanofibers with embedded semiconductor NRs were rolled around a drum to form a sheet in which each nanofiber was aligned parallel to the rotation direction. The thickness and polarization ratio of the sheet were 1.5 mu m and 0.6, respectively. We also examined how electrospinning parameters affected the polarization ratio of the sheet.
