Synthesis mechanism of new morphology LiMnPO4 nanofibers using electrospinning process

Lithium manganese phosphate (LiMnPO4) porous hollow nanofibers have been obtained by electrospinning method with LiNO3, Mn(NO3)(2)a (TM) 4H(2)O, and NH4H2PO4 as starting materials. The results show that the external diameter of the LiMnPO4 hollow nanofibers was in the range of 500-800 nm and the internal diameter was in the range of 50-500 nm at 750 A degrees C for 5 h in N-2 atmosphere. The porous hollow nanofibers obtained were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that fibers with porous and hollow morphology were successfully formed by controlling the electrospinning parameters and calcination temperature. It is to be easy of uniform distribution of PVP and make hollow structure.
