In the present work, one-dimensional InVO4/BiVO4 heterostructured nanobelts with the width of about 800 nm have been successfully prepared by a simple electrospinning technique followed by the subsequent calcination process. The prepared products were characterized by thermogravimetry, fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis absorbance spectroscopy, high-performance liquid chromatography, and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The obtained InVO4/BiVO4 heterostructured nanobelts presented an admirable morphology and excellent photocatalytic properties for the degradation of methylene blue solution under visible-light irradiation. The electrospun precursor samples (a and b) displayed a well-defined one-dimensional (1D) belt structure. After calcined at 550 A degrees C for 2 h (c and d), the samples can retain well the 1D morphology. And an obvious porous structure can be found from the TEM images of the calcined samples (e and f).
