SrTi0.65Fe0.35O3 nanofibers for oxygen sensing

Polycrystalline SrTi0.65Fe0.35O3 (STF35) nanofibers with a cubic perovskite structure, an average diameter of similar to 100 nm and an average grain size similar to 20 nm were prepared by electrospinning. The electrical properties of the STF35 nanofibers were investigated by impedance spectroscopy, the STF35 nanofibers showed high conductance with activation energies ranging from 0.31 to 0.44 eV. The oxygen sensing properties of the STF35 nanofibers were studied in the temperature range of 700 to 780 degrees C; the sensor based on STF35 nanofibers exhibited high sensitivity (response similar to 4.06 to 10%O-2) and fast response (t(res) < 2 s to 0.1%O-2) at 750 degrees C due to the onedimensional nanostructure.
