Fiber-Oriented Photoluminescence Polarizer Based on Anisotropic Electrospinning
2019/11/27 21:21:54 admin
Here we reported a simple process to fabricate organic photoluminescence linear polarizer using anisotropic electrospinning. Highly-aligned electrospun nanofibers were prepared from two binary blends of PFO/PAN using the insulated roller covered with parallel steel sticks with a baffle as collector device. The aligned fibers exhibited a uniform continuous domain with the diameters ranging from 300-500 nnn and the polarized steady-state luminescence showed a polarized ratio as high as 3.5, much higher than the non-woven electrospun fibers. The effect of the dye's molecule structure, the oriented morphology of the nanofiber, the dipole moment of the solution used in electrospinning and the polymers' relaxation time on the dichroic ratio were further investigated. Compared to the traditional methods, this one-step process with its simplicity and ability to be fabricated in large area make it promising application in modern flat panel display.
