Gelatin/PVA bicomponent nanofibers were prepared via electrospinning, and its control release of Raspberry ketone(RK) was investigated. Significant diameter increase, tensile strength and elongation at break improvement were observed as the ratio of PVA increased. The burst release of drug was observed in the first hour, and reached a plateau after two hours. The RK release rate could be tailored by the GEL/PVA ratio, the content of loaded RK, and the crosslinking time of glutaraldehyde vapor. (C) 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
