Copper nanoparticles doped on titania carbon nanofibers (Cu NPs-doped TiO2 CNFs) were fabricated by electrospinning of a sol-gel consisting of titanium isopropoxide (TIP), polyvinylpyrroliodine (PVP) and copper(II) acetate tetrahydrate followed by sintered at 750 degrees C in Ar atmosphere. The photocatalytic activities of nanofibers were examined by dehydrogenation of ammonia borane (AB) under sunlight radiation. Typically, after 120 min, the obtained hydrogen equivalent was 1.95 for Cu-doped TiO2 CNFs. Interestingly, synthesized nanofibers were shelled by thin layer from graphite which improves the chemical resistivity. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd and Techna Group S.r.l. All rights reserved.
